For most people with multiple sclerosis, maintaining high quality of life means a combination of disease-modifying therapies and personalized symptom management. Finding ways to manage several symptoms with one activity can be a big win for MS patients, their loved ones, and their medical providers. That's why many MS patients are turning to yoga as one tool to help boost their physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. Dr. Kyle Smoot, MS neurologist at Providence Brain and Spine Institute, recently wrote about the benefits of yoga in the Providence Multiple Sclerosis Center Newsletter. In the video below, both Dr. Smoot and Diana Hulet, an MS patient and certified yoga instructor, talk about what yoga can do to support MS patients along their journey.
